100th Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun
On Friday, October 13, 2017, His Excellency Bishop Robert Morlino will celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the Throne in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, Portugal, the culmination of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.
All Souls’ Day
His Excellency will also continue our tradition of a Pontifical Requiem Mass at the Throne with Absolution over the Catafalque for the intentions of the deceased priests and bishops of the Diocese of Madison on All Souls’ Day, Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Thus, the current schedule of Pontifical Masses in the Diocese of Madison for late summer and fall 2017 includes:
- Tuesday, August 22, 6:00 pm, IHM Parish, Monona — Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
- Thursday, September 14, time TBC, Holy Name Heights, Madison — Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross
- Friday, October 13, time and location TBC — in honor of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima
- Thursday, November 2, time TBC, Holy Name Heights, Madison — All Souls Day
