    On May 2, 2021 at 12:30pm, at St. Mary’s in Pine Bluff, Dr. Peter Kwasniewski will be giving a lecture: The Priority of Adoration, The Virtue of Religion, and The Fear of the Lord in Catholic Worship. A light lunch will be provided during the talk.

  • All Saints and All Souls – Tridentine Mass Society of Madison

    Remember that this Tuesday, November 1, is a Holy Day of Obligation as we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. In Dane County, there will be the following TLMs offered for the Holy Day:

    • 6:30 am, St Norbert’s, Roxbury
    • 5:30 pm, St Mary’s, Pine Bluff

    The following day, Wednesday, November 2, His Excellency Bishop Morlino will celebrate a Solemn Pontifical Requiem Mass at the Throne followed by Absolution at the catafalque for All Souls’ Day, as the diocese prays especially for our deceased priests and bishops. The Pontifical Mass will begin at 7:00 pm at Holy Name Heights (formerly known as the Bishop O’Connor Center).

  • UPDATE: Solemn Requiem Mass for Fr Kunz – Tridentine Mass Society of Madison

    Due to the unfortunate news of the death of a priest in the diocese this week, Bishop Morlino will now be out of town on Saturday for a Funeral Mass. Hence, the Mass commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of Fr Alfred Kunz will now be a Solemn Requiem Mass, followed by Absolution at the catafalque.

    The schola will sing the Requiem of Paolo Isnardi with Gregorian propers and polyphonic motets as planned.

    The Solemn Requiem Mass will begin at

    11:00 a.m.

    The Tridentine Mass Society of the Diocese of Madison, founded in 2007, is a private association of the Roman Catholic faithful dedicated to the preservation of the “ancient form of the Roman rite” or an Extraordinary Form, as a legitimate usage of the Church’s liturgy.

    The Society was formally recognized by His Excellency, Robert Morlino, Bishop of Madison. The Society includes lay members drawn from every age group and walks of life and is open to religious who “continue to adhere with great love and affection to the earlier liturgical forms.”

    Those who wish to support the special projects of the Tridentine Mass Society may do so by mailing a contribution to the Society at 529 Echo Valley Road, Brooklyn, WI 53521.
