    Here’s part II of the schedules for Holy Week and Easter in the usus antiquior, April 9-16, 2017:

    St Mary’s, Pine Bluff: It is confirmed that the Triduum (times here) will be full Solemn rites with deacon and subdeacon.

    • Monday–Wednesday of Holy Week
      6:30 am Low Mass
    • Holy Thursday
      5:00 pm, Sung Mass of the Lord’s Supper

      10:30 pm, Sung Easter Vigil

  • Photos from Pontifical Mass for St Joseph – Tridentine Mass Society of Madison

    Here are photos from the Pontifical Mass at the Throne celebrated by His Excellency, the Most Rev Robert Morlino, for the Feast of St Joseph (transferred), Monday, March 20, 2017.

    The next Pontifical Mass will be on the Feast of the Queenship of Our Lady, Wed. May 31 at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, Monona.

    Slowly but surely, churches are being opened for more and more people. Mass attendance is rising again. This morning there was a good “socially distanced” crowd for the Vetus Ordo Mass at St. Mary’s in Pine Bluff. Video of the Mass is HERE.

    We are revising the schedule on the right side bar due to changes in times and places of Masses in the area. Keep your eyes peeled.

    The forty days, which St. Luke tells us in Acts had passed between Christ’s Resurrection and His glorious Ascent into Heaven, are nearly completed. On Thursday, May 30, 2019, at 6:30 PM, we will have a Solemn Mass at St. Mary’s Pine Bluff to commemorate the Ascension of Our Lord.

    On Sunday, 28 April, the 7:30 AM Mass at St Mary’s Pine Bluff will be a Solemn Mass for the Octave Day of Easter / Low Sunday. We will also be singing the Te Deum immediately after Mass in thanksgiving for the appointment of our new bishop.

    Yesterday, our Holy Thursday observance began with sung Tenebræ, featuring our newly-acquired hearse. In the evening, for the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, we had a Solemn Mass with the debut of our splendid new white vestments, which arrived from Rome only one week ago. Here are some photos:

    We are already well into the pre-Lenten season, and Ash Wednesday is just around the corner. At St Mary’s Pine Bluff, we are planning to have a Solemn High Mass for Ash Wednesday, 6 March 2019, preceded by the blessing and distribution of ashes, beginning at 6:30 PM.

    His Excellency Bishop Morlino will be conferring the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Extraordinary Form on Wednesday, November 30 2016, the Feast of St Andrew, at St Mary’s in Pine Bluff. Those interested in receiving this Sacrament in the usus antiquior should contact Fr Heilman, pastor of St Mary’s.

  • Solemn Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception – Tridentine Mass Society of Madison

    On December 8, 2015, at the Bishop O’Connor Center Chapel in Madison, a Solemn Mass in the Presence of a Greater Prelate (His Excellency, Bishop Robert Morlino) will be celebrated for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

  • Rorate Mass at UW – Tridentine Mass Society of Madison

    The Tridentine Mass Society was recently approached by Fr Andrew Showers, one of the priests at St Paul’s, the campus parish of the University of Wisconsin, requesting our assistance. The students were requesting a traditional Advent Rorate Mass, and they would need to borrow some liturgical items for proper celebration of the TLM in their beautiful new building.

    We, of course, were happy to provide the items needed, and the parishioners took care of the rest. Student Derek Ho captured these photos of the candlelit Missa Cantata in the early morning of Saturday, 15 December.
