{"id":173,"date":"2026-01-19T23:17:51","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T23:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latinmassmadison.org\/?p=173"},"modified":"2026-09-11T03:00:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T03:00:38","slug":"pontifical-requiem-for-fr-kunz-tridentine-mass-society-of-madison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latinmassmadison.org\/?p=173","title":{"rendered":"Pontifical Requiem for Fr Kunz \u2013 Tridentine Mass Society of Madison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, March 3, 2018, His Excellency the Most Rev Robert Morlino will celebrate a Pontifical Requiem Mass at the Throne to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of Fr Alfred Kunz.<\/p>\n<p>Fr Kunz was the longtime pastor of St Michael\u2019s parish in Dane, just north of Madison, where he was instrumental in continuing the Traditional Latin Mass in the Diocese of Madison during the \u201cindult Mass\u201d days.
