The TMSM had been using portions of our violet Pontifical set until recently, so to avoid uneven wear to that set, we have acquired a separate Solemn Mass set.

This new set arrived from Rome in time for the last Sunday of Advent, but we did not have the opportunity to use it for a Solemn Mass until Quinquagesima and Ash Wednesday. Both Masses involved our diocesan vocations director as one of the Sacred Ministers, and Quinquagesima included a seminarian in choro, while Ash Wednesday included a seminarian as a server, demonstrating again that Tradition is very much a part of the future.

More Vestment News

In Production: New White Pontifical Set

Our next vestment project is a white set with silver trim and blue moirè lining, which the tailors at Gammarelli have begun producing.
